Improvements to glass transparency, tracing of effects through glass transparencies, and the reflection of transparent blocks on reflective surfaces Too vague for you? Fine, here are the specifics: įor you early birds already playing the beta, make sure that you have the latest version which improves performance, several ray traced effects, and your entire experience in general. It’s a beta, so we have several known issues already. Join the beta and send your suggestions on, and of course, please report all bugs on.

Be sure to download the latest Game Ready Driver to have the best gaming experience – go to /drivers for more information. You’re going to need a minimum spec GPU of NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2060, CPU of Intel Core i5 or equivalent, and at least 8GB RAM. Ready to try Minecraft with RTX Beta for yourself? Get your extra pair of socks on and then check that your PC can handle all of the cool stuff that’s in store for you. Since the first six worlds were so cool, we’re going to keep showing off by releasing Creator Worlds Pack #2! This gives you five new creator worlds with new gameplay, new uses of Minecraft with RTX’s ray traced effects, and new physically-based textures that will knock your socks off! Which is fine, but when I try to show off I’m told to “please stop doing cartwheels in the office, you’ve broken enough cups for one day”.

This release didn’t only add immersive, cutting-edge path-traced ray tracing to Minecraft for Windows 10 – it also brought physically-based textures and six creator worlds that really showed off what this new technology can do. Open the new world and you should find it has become your old world. As you know (and if you didn’t you will in about two seconds) we released Minecraft with RTX Beta in partnership with NVIDIA last month. Open Minecraft, go to worlds (the world should still be called "My World", you can edit it later). Go to your new world folder, go to the db folder, paste the contents from the old db folder into the new. In the db folder, including the "lost" folder. Go to your lost worlds folder, go to the db folder (for me there was another "lost" folder in db, that's fine). Open you newest world folder (the one you made earlier) go to the db folder, delete everything in there (not the db folder itself.

If you have more than two folders you may just have to do some trial and error, although they are in order of creation with oldest being at the top, newest at the bottom (the bottom-most folder is your new world). As I said I only had one world so for me there was two folders, my old lost worldĪnd the new world I had just created.

It is easier if you only had one world (I did) but there should be two (maybe more for you) folders in the minecraftWorlds folder that has a few random looking characters. If you have trouble finding the folder try this: go: This PC/Local Disk (C:)/Users/User/AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe/LocalState/games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds Save and close and save the world, then close Minecraft. I don't know if it may work for you, but best to give it a shot, it's short and easy.įirst off open Minecraft and make a new world (give the world the same settings as you old one, as the settings will change after the process). Just so you know, my problem occurred because i had a power outage as my world was saving after i closed it. I have had this problem and have fixed it using this method (couldn't find anything to help so i figured it out then made this, so you won't have to figure it out yourself). If you have lost your world (meaning when you open the game your world is missing) this may be helpful.
